It is the UK Confidential Reporting Programme for Aviation and Maritime The aim of CHIRP is to contribute to the enhancement of aviation safety in the UK and maritime safety worldwide, by providing a totally independent confidential (not anonymous) reporting system for all individuals employed in or associated with these industries. WebThe safety of the system was robust enough to give a warning to the Remote Pilot and safety was not compromised at any time. Internal procedural changes to the pre-flight checks are deemed sufficient to prevent a repeat occurrence. An Internal Safety Notice was created to inform all Remote Pilots of the failure.
